Matthew Wilson's family considered him to be a missing person. But
after the 21-year-old former computer science student at Rice
University in Houston turned up in a tiny UC Berkeley classroom this
week, he told investigators he had "wanted to come West and disappear,"
police officials said.
He was fairly successful - at least until he sought the use of an overhead projector Wednesday night.
Wilson's mother had made trips to Berkeley, where Wilson's car had
been found with anarchist literature inside, to look for him. She made
public appeals for his return and hired a Bay Area private investigator
who combed the streets and the Internet.

Call for Solidarity with the Wood Squat in Guelph
Disclaimer: There are many people involved in the
squat & we have identified a public media liason. This is another
voice from the squat about our imminent eviction. Earlier this week, the pigs & the city of Guelph issued an
ultimatium to us, leave your home or face a violent eviction. We have
been living on abandoned prison land for the past year & when the
pigs ccome to enforce the eviction Monday August 25th, We will all be
left homeless & the connection with the land we have been building
will be severed.
The reason they are evicting us is because we began laying the
foundation for a permanent structure. We dared to dream of living
outside of the realms of a money driven economy. They see it as an
attack on the basic foundatino of the state & their response is
proof that they wont let anyone challenge the rigid social &
economic structure. We are all outlaws to this society.
Our struggle does not end with the eviction of the squat. It is much
larger than a parcel of land. Our struggle is against development &
sprawl. Our struggle is against this colonial police state. Our
struggle is fundamentally against civilization & all it's
systematic distruction.

New Website Devoted to US Social War
Have you been waiting for a website that reports
entirely on attacks against the social order? Maybe a website that
reports on acts of vandalism and sabotage engaged only in the United
$tate$? Well here is a blog that strives to document the simple notion
that people fight back, a lot.
With websites and blogs such as directaction.info,
bombsandshields.blogspot.com, confrontation.wordpress.com and
directactiongr.blogspot.com gaining such popularity, we decided to
start a blog documenting stories of individual acts of rebellion here
in the United States. This blog not only reports on anarchist attacks
against the ruling order, but seeks to document a wide variety of
resistance, including but not limited to:
-Bank Robberies
-Arson
-Vandalism and Sabotage
-Hacking
-Prisoner Escape
-Attacks Against Police, Judges, Bosses, Landlords, Husbands
-Prison Revolts
-Piracy
-And other acts of mischief against the social peace
We aim to create a regularly updated account of the U$ social
terrain so as to inspire others to act up (legally of course). We also

Vancouver, BC: Sheriff Van and Police Cruiser Firebombed
In plain daylight in the afternoon of August 6th,
we firebombed two vehicles belonging to the police. One was a sheriff
van parked in front of the courthouse on Main st, located south of
Powell st. The other was a police cruiser parked on the south-east
corner of Main and Hastings st, it was empty because the pigs were in
the middle of conducting an arrest.
That afternoon’s gossip in the downtown east side was one of sheer
happiness found in the shared appreciation of seeing a sheriff van burn
in front of the courthouse doors.
What bliss must have been felt by the people locked inside awaiting
their trials in that despicable house of injustice. Those who live in
the downtown east side struggle together daily to survive beneath the
booming development which continues to exclude them to an existence of
poverty and prison.
Along with the police and private security; the courts, sheriffs,
and judges continue to enforce the orderly and lawful circulation of
commodities and money with limitless social control.
Their complicity is present in the example of development, police
repression and prison. They should expect no less than burning vehicles
and creative expressions of our contempt.
We hope this act will spark communication and create new relationships of collaboration in struggle.
Our choices move beyond run, hide and prison. There are endless possibilities to be found in the conspiracy of attack.
We chose to act between the days of August 1st-7th because of the
call for solidarity by 500+ prisoners in German prisons and around
Europe who are on hunger strike. Our love is sent to the comrades who
continue to refuse the life of passivity and silence, inside and
outside the walls of prison. For the freedom of Amadeu Casellas Ramon,
Gabriel Pombo Da Silva, Marcos Comenish, Jose Fernandez Delgado!
Freedom for all Prisoners!
May our willingness to revolt spread our crimes of passion through
their quiet cities and into the solitude of prison! We are bound to
annihilate their prison-world!

Spanway, WA: Military Recruitment Center Attacked
Last night several windows were broken at the US air force recruitment center in Spanaway, Washington. Military recruitment centers are just one manifestation of the death machine that delivers ceaseless abuse to our communities. All infrastructure must be destroyed! Every window broken, every town hall razed, every tire gouged, is a hammer to an already crumbling facade; a paving stone lifted from the path of death.
